Rozenn TALEC & Yannig NOGUET

Rozenn Talec and Yannig Noguet form a unique Breton duo. Rozenn, a native Breton speaker from central Brittany, provides the vocals, while Yannig, a Gallo-speaking Breton, plays the diatonic accordion. Rozenn started singing at 14 alongside her father, and together they bring expressiveness and depth to traditional songs—mixing them with modernity and original lyrics. The accordion moves from trad to Gus Viseur, Murena, or Piazzolla, while the voice carries it all like a bird in a storm.

Professional musician Corentin David has long been part of the traditional scene. A player of bombarde, biniou, and veuze, he’ll have you dancing solo with the veuze. Follow him in the round dance! His repertoire is rooted in his homeland—the Gallo and salt-marsh regions—a heritage he’s committed to preserving and sharing through teaching.

Born from traditional roots and equipped with iconic Breton instruments, Startijenn delivers a raw and energetic sound. Deeply rooted yet universally accessible, the group keeps pushing boundaries and exploring new musical territories. A true powerhouse of Breton trance, driven by sweat and audience energy, their live performances are thrilling and one of a kind.
In April 2022, they released their seventh album Talm ur galon (The Beat of a Heart), revealing a fresh sound mixing trad, rock, and folk—now including Breton-language rap vocals by Youenn Roue.
From school benches to international stages (Europe, Asia, Australia), Startijenn has carved a niche in the Folk/World scene by transforming age-old music into a bold, modern sound.
