The Celts of Guérande
Who are we and why?
Dance, music and song, synonymous with sharing and conviviality, but also with exchange between peoples.
Originally, "Les Celtiques de Guérande" was called "Les Fêtes Bretonnes" and took place on the first Saturday of July and August. The first edition was held in 1963. In 1991, in partnership with the city of Guérande and the Interceltic Festival of Lorient, we created the first edition of the "Celtic Festival". Then in 2003 and 2004 we changed the name; "Festival Celtiques de Guérande" and finally "Les Celtiques de Guérande".
We are a festival entirely run by amateurs and volunteers from the Bro Gwenrann Association .
We celebrate Brittany, Galicia, Asturias, and many other regions. The quality of the program makes the Guérande Celtic Festival a unique event on the Guérande Peninsula. With over 500 artists, this festival is the unmissable event for lovers of traditional music, song, dance, and performance from our Breton region.
In a city steeped in history, it's important to escape through culture and reconnect with one's roots, to reclaim the right to emotion. It is artists who make this possible and thus enrich our lives. Once again, Les Celtiques de Guérande have chosen diversity and quality. The organizers offer both established artists and emerging talents for entertainment, concerts, and shows.
The Guérande Celtics also means more than just loyal partners, as well as new ones who join us every year; active participation from the town of Guérande renewed by a three-year agreement; and support from local authorities...
We therefore invite you to join us to experience unforgettable moments intensely, with one passion: cultural tradition in today's world.
